Lisa Harris, LMHC

I came to the counseling profession later in life. For the last 13 years I have focused on the practice of providing individual counseling for a variety of clients throughout the life span.

During this time I trained as a play therapist and received my Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor credentialing and my Theraplay credentialing. This allowed me to work with children ages four to twelve 60% of the time and adults for the remaining 40%.

Alas, as life changes so shall we!  Those life changes led me to phase out of working with children and move to assisting those 18 and older.

I am licensed by the state of Indiana to practice in-person and via tele-health within the state. I received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grace College.

When I am not at my practice, I enjoy bike riding, painting with watercolors, yoga, crossword puzzles (really any kind of word puzzles), jigsaw puzzles, reading, and spending time with friends and family but my very favorite activity is spending time with my two grandsons!  I've always been told being a grandma is a joy that you've never experienced, and I have found that to be true!  Additionally I have been married for 39 years to a wonderful man, have a grown daughter and son whom I adore and admire as I watch them unfold their adult lives, and equally loved is a son-in-law and daughter-in-law who round out our family in the very best ways!

Years ago I heard a survivor of the Nazi concentration camps speak.
He said, "No matter what, the
flowers will bloom in the spring."
